"Jesus
said to [Peter], 'He who is bathed needs only to wash his feet, but is
completely clean; and you are clean, but not all of you.' For He knew who would
betray Him; therefore He said, 'You are not all clean'" (John 13:10, 11).
Jesus says Peter is clean.
Jesus says Judas is not clean.
Peter made a lot of mistakes.
Judas made a lot of mistakes.
In a few minutes, Peter will deny Jesus.
In a few minutes, Judas will betray Jesus.
What makes the difference?
Peter kept returning to Jesus when he messed up.
Judas did not keep returning to Jesus when he messed up.
I guess a better question is, Who makes the difference?
Thank you for this encouragement and helping us to see that we must keep turning back to Jesus. Oh if I would only stay at his side and NEVER walk away.
Wow I like this a lot!! May we keep going to Jesus.

ReplyDeleteYou're very welcome! I am praying that you will stay at His side. Please pray that I will, as well. He's what it's all about.
