Melody Mason
Melody (Melodious Echo) is the original founder and author of "Morning Sunshine" which she started in 2013 hoping to encourage friends and family as she shared tidbits from her daily time and walk with God. However in 2014, as ministry responsibilities picked up and as she was also working on authoring her first book, she stepped away from the "Morning Sunshine" blog and allowed different guest writers to contribute. (Their biographies are below!)
Melody's first book "Daring to Ask for More: Divine Keys to Answer Prayer" was published in 2014 by Pacific Press Publishing Association and as of 2022 already has over 100,000 copies in print with translation in more than 10 languages. (This is God's miracle and He is the One who deserves all glory and praise. To read Melody's testimony behind the writing of this book, click here!) In 2020 Melody published her second book for Pacific Press. It is titled, "Daring to Live by Every Word." You can read more about it here.
Melody has been involved in a number of ministries over the years, but has been working with the General Conference in Silver Spring Maryland as the United in Prayer Coordinator for the world church since 2016. She also continues to participate in various writing projects for the church focusing on the topics of revival and reformation. Melody decided to pick up the Morning Sonshine blog again because of her 2018 New Year's Resolution to read through the entire Bible in one year!
On a personal note, Melody loves to spend time with her family which includes her parents who have been happily married for 46 years, her two younger brothers and their sweet wives, and now (as of 2017) two adorable baby nieces. Melody also loves to hike and enjoy nature, cook for special events and occasions, and read new books that stimulate her thinking or draw her closer to Jesus. Although a true closet introvert at heart, who would rather be at home or spending one-on-one quality time with close friends, Melody is continually drawn to active ministry by her great passion to help people come to know Jesus for themselves personally and experientially. It is this passion that has drawn her all over the world sharing about prayer and about the amazing God she serves. She's been in over 30 countries already, and is often called upon to speak for Prayer Conferences, Women's Retreats, Pastor's wives retreats, and more. Melody's TRUE LOVE is Jesus, and she's looking forward to meeting HIM someday soon face to face!
