It's All About Jesus

"Christ has redeemed us from the curse of the law, having become a curse for us (for it is written, 'Cursed is everyone who hangs on a tree')" (Galatians 3:13).

Christ redeemed me by absorbing the inevitable result of trying to keep the law on my own: death, representing complete and utter failure.

Yet He was victorious because His death allowed me to absorb the inevitable result of coming into His presence: life, representing complete and utter victory.

One of the many wonderful results of remaining in His presence is Him keeping the law through me.
Gazing wide-eyed at Who it's all about...

------------------------------------------------------------------------

"Jesus, who became for us wisdom from God--and righteousness and sanctification and redemption" (1 Corinthians 1:30).

We have no trouble admitting that there's nothing we can do to contribute to our justification...that's all Jesus. And we don't argue a bit that there's nothing we can do to contribute to our glorification...that's all Jesus. Why do we think there's something we can do to contribute to our sanctification? That's all Jesus, too!
