Day 37 - God wants Willing Offerings ~ and Willing Hearts!

Today's Reading: Ex. 25-26 and Matt. 27

I like how Exodus 25:2 stresses that God only sought offerings to build the sanctuary from willing hearts: "From everyone who gives it willingly with his heart you shall take My offering."

"Devotion to God and a spirit of sacrifice were the first requisites in preparing a dwelling place for the Most High." (PP 343.3)

Isn't that the same requisite He asked when seeking to dwell with us? He doesn't force His way into our hearts. He only comes where He's wanted. He only comes where there is a spirit of sacrifice and surrender.

At first I didn't see Jesus as I was reading all the INSTRUCTIONS on how to build the Sanctuary, and THEN I saw Him!!

These chapters share many specific instructions about how to build the tabernacle!! And Moses and the people followed these instructions to a T perfectly!!

The picture I see of Jesus is that HE was the tabernacle in Human flesh... And there were very many and specific instructions and prophecies given by God regarding His life and coming and HE FULFILLED every prophecy and every requirement to a perfect T!!! (The odds of this happening by chance if even 8 of the hundreds of prophecies all matched up are so far out of range, it's not even humanly possible! The probability of this is like a 1 with 33 zeros after. And yet Jesus matched all the requirements and filled all the hundreds of prophecies of the coming Messiah to a perfect T!!!!)

What a God we serve! And He wants to dwell with us!
