The Heavens Tell of His Amazing Love

'When I consider your heavens, the work of your fingers, the moon and the stars, which you have set in place...' Psalms 8:3

Look to the skies and behold the handiwork of God! The glory of the stars spread out endlessly upon the vast darkness of the universe. As we gaze into the heavens to admire Pleiades, or appreciate the beauty of Orion's nebula, we begin to desire the nearness of God. When a blazing shooting star dashes across the horizon, the throbbing of our hearts yearns for more understanding of God's majestic, amazing love.

"What melts our hearts is not just that there is beauty in the universe. What melts us is the knowledge that God designed all beauty to show us who He is, as a symbolic language of the soul. All nature is God wooing us to Himself."--Stephen Mansfield

As the stillness of night washes over us with the artistry of the twinkling diamonds hovering above, may our hearts burn within us a desire for more of Him who made all things. May God draw us in His embrace and may our ears come in tune to His song of love. "...He contemplates us in His love, He sings over us with joy." Zephaniah 3:17

"The next time a sunrise steals your breath or a meadow of flowers leaves you speechless, remain that way. Say nothing and listen as heaven whispers, 'Do you like it? I did it just for you.'"--Max Lucado

"This is what the Lord says--your Redeemer, who formed you in the womb: I am The Lord, who has made all things, who alone stretched out the heavens, who spread out the earth by Myself." Isaiah 44:24

"Your Maker is your Husband, the Lord of hosts is His name...your Redeemer...is the God of the whole earth." Isaiah 54:5

Just as the stars shine in its perfect beauty, just as the nebulae burst forth in their array of color, just as the planets spin in perfect unity on their orbits, God has made you completely gloriously perfect in His sight.

"...I want to walk through the door of eternity with the Creator of the Universe, Life Incarnate, God who became man, died for me, defeated the grave, and calls me His friend. You can have all this world, just give me Jesus."--Kirk Cameron

As we admire God's starry creation, may the cry of our hearts always be: "just give me Jesus, that's all I need."
