Not what's around us, but what is IN us…

Colossians 1:27 says, "To whom God would make known what is the riches of the glory of this mystery among the Gentiles; which is Christ in you, the hope of glory."

In the book Heavenly Places, we are reminded: "It is not what is around us, but what is in us; not what we have, but what we are, that makes us really happy." p. 245

And how true this is. If you find yourself discontent today, it's not because of where you live or because of your circumstances, it's because you need a renewed peace with Christ.

We may live in a mansion, but without Christ, we will be quite miserable, and that's why so many of the rich and famous are on an endless marathon that never satisfies  Often we, as a result of their emptiness, we see them either taking their own lives or running from one relationship to another. However, if Christ lives in us, through His Spirit, it matters not where we live, or what circumstances we are part of. We will have HIS peace radiating from our heart and life! And this is my prayer for all of us this beautiful September day!

Another one of my favorite verses comes from John 1:4, "In him was LIFE; and the life was the LIGHT of men."

Let His LIFE be your LIGHT today! ;-)
