I obey because I love...

It's February 1st…and I've now completed one whole month out of twelve for this Vit. B-3 Challenge! Can you believe it? Yeah!!!

Today I want to lift up my heart in song.

"I will praise the name of God with a song, and will magnify him with thanksgiving." Ps. 69:30

I just want to sing His praises today…not only for setting me free from the law of sin and death, but for being my perfect righteousness and mediator…my redeemer! He made me a new creation when I gave my heart to Him. But I also feel like each day is a new day with Him…and I'm thankful for this new day of this new month. It's almost like an Anniversary…and also it's a celebration, because we are one day closer to Heaven.

"In the new birth the heart is brought into harmony with God, as it is brought into accord with His law. When this mighty change has taken place in the sinner, he has passed from death unto life, from sin unto holiness, from transgression and rebellion to obedience and loyalty. The old life of alienation from God has ended; the new life of reconciliation, of faith and love, has begun. Then “the righteousness of the law” will “be fulfilled in us, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit.” Romans 8:4. And the language of the soul will be: “O how love I Thy law! it is my meditation all the day.” Psalm 119:97. Great Controversy, p. 468

"By this we know that we love the children of God, when we love God, and keep his commandments. For this is the love of God, that we keep his commandments: and his commandments are not grievous." 1 John 5:2,3

"Lord, teach me to magnify you with a voice of thanksgiving, and with a life of gratitude. Obedience is not grievous, but take me a step further. Make my obedience beautiful in true worship and honor, as a bride honors the One to whom she has given her heart!"

Day 32 - Vit. B-3 Challenge

  • Bible Thought: Obedience springs from my love and gratitude to my Redeemer!
  • Blessing: It's February…and lots of exciting things are happening this month.
  • Battles: Praying that I don't jump ahead of God's plan, but keep walking one day at a time.
