Any of you Got trials?

Here is my passage of comfort for today…while we may not struggle and suffer as Christians in the past, we all have our trials that seek to pull us away in discouragement. But we cannot loose hope. Nothing can separate us from the love of Christ…not anything one does, not anything one says, not anything…even the biggest attacks of the enemy.

"What shall we then say to these things? If God be for us, who can be against us? He that spared not his own Son, but delivered him up for us all, how shall he not with him also freely give us all things? Who shall lay any thing to the charge of God's elect? It is God that justifieth. Who is he that condemneth? It is Christ that died, yea rather, that is risen again, who is even at the right hand of God, who also maketh intercession for us.Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword? As it is written, For thy sake we are killed all the day long; we are accounted as sheep for the slaughter. Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us. For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come, Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord." Rom. 8:31-39

"Those who have borne the greatest sorrows are frequently the ones who carry the greatest comfort to others, bringing sunshine wherever they go. Such ones have been chastened and sweetened by their afflictions; they did not lose confidence in God when trouble assailed them, but clung closer to His protecting love. Such ones are a living proof of the tender care of God, who makes the darkness as well as the light, and chastens us for our good." 2nd Selected Messages, p. 274

Review:
  • Bible Thought: No matter what our trials, or what the enemy brings against us. Nothing can separate us from the love of Christ.
  • Blessing: "It is good for me that I've been afflicted, that I might learn thy statutes." Ps. 119:71
  • Battles: Praying for patience and strength to endure the trials. It's funny, because I was just praying a few days back for my character to be refined and "self" to die more completely even if it meant trials…and here they came, just that fast! (Be careful what you pray for!)
